About the role
At CHOP - Soar Autism Center, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of young children on the autism spectrum. Our role focuses on providing one-on-one play-based learning sessions to children aged 2–6 in our clinic setting, implementing individualized therapy plans based on evidence-based principles from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one play-based learning sessions to children aged 2–6 in our clinic setting.
- Implement individualized therapy plans designed by Masters-level clinicians using evidence-based principles from ABA.
- Use play, positive reinforcement, and daily routines to help children build communication, social, and learning skills.
- Partner closely with families, sharing updates and celebrating each child’s growth.
- Participate in ongoing training and supervision to earn and maintain RBT certification.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma, or equivalent, is required. Strong preference for candidates enrolled in or who have completed a degree program (bonus for majors in Child Development, Psychology, Education, or related fields).
- Enjoyment and experience working with children. This can be through child care, teaching, coaching, or volunteer work.
- Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification within the first 6 weeks of employment (CHOP - Soar Autism Center provides paid training).
- RBT certification required for our Colorado Springs location.
- Reliable transportation to training and center locations; punctuality is essential.
- Physical ability to sit or kneel on the floor, lift up to 50 lbs., and move quickly to support a child’s needs.
- Comfort using computers and tablets for session documentation.
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn and grow.
What We Offer
- $21.50 - $28.50/hour with regular bonus and promotion opportunities. The initial offer hourly pay will be between $21.50 - $22.75.
