About the role
The Youth Justice Coalition Coordinator oversees the Utah County Youth Justice Project, aiming to address community violence through a collective impact, restorative justice, and public health approach. The role serves as the central liaison for all partners, fostering a collaborative network to create a safer community and positive pathways for youth.
Responsibilities
- Guides the project's mission to address community violence through a collective impact, restorative justice, and public health approach.
- Serves as the central liaison for all partners, building the collaborative network necessary to foster a safer community and create positive pathways for youth.
- Provides programmatic and grant administration oversight for the Utah County Youth Justice Project.
- Coordinates with partners to ensure alignment and effectiveness of initiatives.
- Builds and facilitates multi-agency coalitions, community-based workgroups, or similar collaborative efforts.
- Coordinates programs funded by federal grants, particularly those from justice or human services-related agencies.
- Navigates systemic barriers or being impacted by the juvenile justice system to inform strategies and interventions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Public Health, Sociology, or a closely related field.
- Two (2) years of full-time, professional experience in public health, criminal justice, restorative justice, program coordination or management, grant administration, or community outreach.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.
Qualifications
- Preference may be given to applicants with experience working directly with at-risk youth in a programmatic, non-profit, or government setting.
- Preference may be given to applicants with experience in building, facilitating, or leading multi-agency coalitions, community-based workgroups, or similar collaborative efforts.
- Preference may be given to applicants with experience in coordinating programs funded by federal grants, particularly those from justice or human services-related agencies.
- Preference may be given to applicants with personal or direct experience navigating systemic barriers or being impacted by the juvenile justice system.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with grant writing and administration.
- Knowledge of restorative justice practices and public health principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
$63,939.20 - $73,528.00 Annually
