Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver goalkeeper-specific training sessions focusing on technical skills (diving, handling, shot-stopping), tactical awareness (positioning, communication), and mental resilience for all youth goalkeepers.
- Analyze performance through observation and video review, providing tailored feedback to support individual growth.
- Collaborate with team coaches to ensure goalkeeper training aligns with team strategies and objectives.
- Monitor and report on player progress, maintaining accurate records and contributing to player reviews and development plans.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment that supports both athletic and personal development.
- Attend all scheduled training sessions, matches, and tournaments as required.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, including coaching workshops and certifications.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff, representing the club's values at all times.
Requirements
- Experience as a goalkeeper (playing and/or coaching), preferably within a youth development environment.
- Relevant coaching qualifications (USSF D License or higher, or international equivalent; Goalkeeper-specific certification preferred).
- Strong understanding of technical and tactical aspects of the goalkeeper position.
- Demonstrated ability to work with youth players and adapt coaching methods to different ages and skill levels.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection standards; must pass background checks and complete required training.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends in line with the club's schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coaching in an academy or elite youth environment.
- UEFA/USSF B License or higher, or equivalent international certification.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
