Youth Engagement Specialist

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily operation of the On Ramp Resource Center, a drop‑in center for young adults 16‑24 years of age.
• Serve as the main point of contact for program participants and community members.
• Connect with and support youth/young adults seeking assistance with housing, education, employment, health and safety, and community navigation.
• Assist with intake assessments.
• Provide support and mentoring to help young adults achieve their goals.
• Manage daily workshops.
• Open and monitor participant use of the basic needs areas – the kitchen during meal times, the shower facility, and the laundry room.

Qualifications

• High School degree required.
• Two years’ experience in the human service field, working with young adults is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications preferred.
• Valid NC Driver's License.
