Youth Development Specialist (Part-Time) - Lewisville, TX

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facility and Child Safety: Adhere to all organizational health and safety policies and implement safety practices and procedures at assigned site. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect members, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Administrative Compliance: Complete all required reports and administrative duties on time. Collect and manage required data and internal and external reporting. Ensure accuracy of data and reporting. Ensure the effective completion of all assessment and measurement activities of programs. Comply with all administrative policies and procedures, processes, and controls.
• Branch Programming: Accountable for assigned programming and activities. Promote and maintain a culture of safety in program area(s). Accountable for assigned special programs and initiatives.
• Front Desk Operations: Provide excellent customer service. Enforce all security, safety, and health protocols. Manage front door traffic efficiently and effectively. Ensure members are checked in/out properly utilizing childcare management systems.
• Relationships: Be a positive role model. Maintain emotional control and make good decisions under pressure. Represent the Boys & Girls Club in a positive manner.

Requirements

• Education and Work Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred. Minimum 6 months experience working with youth.
• Qualifications: Available to work between the hours of 2pm-7pm Monday – Friday during school year; up to 37.5 hours per week during summer Monday - Friday. Ability to be a positive role model. Establish rapport and build relationships. Relate to at-risk youth. Follow verbal and written instructions. Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification. Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time.
