Summary of Program and Position
Potential Youth Development Specialist.
Essential Duties
- Plans and implements several projects simultaneously including coordination of staff and volunteers necessary for implementation.
- Supervises youth participating in Teen Program activities and accompanies supervising staff when transporting youth to off-site activities.
- Engages, connects, and interacts with the youth enrolled in the program and their families.
- Develops relationships with individuals, agencies, and/or organizations in the community that are necessary to the implementation of assigned projects and services.
- Develops regular action plans (at least quarterly) and ensures that assigned outputs and outcomes are achieved.
- Develops and/or maintains a data collection system to ensure that appropriate records are kept for assigned projects and activities.
- SUBMIT DATA, PROGRESS ON MILIETS, NARRATIVE AND OTHER REQUIRED INFORMATION TO THE PROGRAM SUPERVISOR OR PROGRAM DIRECTOR IN A TIMELY MANNER.
Minimum Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) years’ experience working with youth OR
- An Associate degree in human services field, plus one year (1) of experience working with youth.
Compensation
