What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitate dynamic life-skills workshops that help gifted K-3 learners develop communication abilities, focus, leadership qualities, resilience, and other enduring skills through active engagement rather than passive listening.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching, leveraging Coachbot analytics, established motivation systems, and meaningful relationships to ensure every student advances toward ambitious weekly learning objectives.
  • Evaluate life-skill mastery using gt.school's Test2Pass framework, coaching students until they demonstrate authentic understanding and consistent practical application.
  • Tailor your coaching approach to match the developmental stage of your cohort, blending creativity and playfulness with exceptionally high standards for young learners' capabilities.
  • Cultivate relationships that encourage gifted students to embrace challenging work, persevere through obstacles, and build character that matches their intellectual capacity.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Teaching academic lessons from the front of a classroom.
  • Students master core academic subjects using adaptive, AI-powered software.
  • Constraining gifted students due to conventional grade-level expectations.
  • Developing curriculum from nothing.
  • Simply monitoring students during independent work.
  • Your impact comes from coaching, motivating, and developing each individual child.
  • Reducing standards when students face difficult obstacles.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a personal record of exceptional academic achievement.
  • A documented history of outstanding academic performance, evidenced through achievements such as admission to a highly selective university, exceptional grades, prestigious academic awards, advanced coursework, competitive scholarships, academic competitions, or equivalent accomplishments.
  • A minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with children ages 4-9 in settings such as teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or comparable environments.
  • A concrete example of motivating a young child to accomplish a challenging goal, including details of the goal, your methods, and the result.
  • Comfort leveraging AI-powered learning tools while dedicating your own efforts to coaching, motivation, and life-skill cultivation.
  • The capacity to combine warmth with consistently high expectations for all students.
  • Willingness to work full-time on-site in Georgetown, Texas.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Experience with gifted, accelerated, or highly advanced learners.
  • A background in youth sports, children's theater, camp leadership, Montessori, progressive education, or high-engagement enrichment programs.
  • Exceptional storytelling or presentation abilities that naturally captivate young children.
  • A proven record of helping exceptionally capable children achieve beyond what they initially believed possible.
