About the Role

Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support to approximately 8–13 students. They foster a structured, family-like environment to promote students' academic, emotional, and social development.

Initially, houseparents support various student homes on a schedule of nine days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to living and working with the same group of students in their own home.

Responsibilities

  • Providing daily supervision and mentorship
  • Managing household routines and student schedules
  • Administering medications and ensuring wellness
  • Driving students to activities and engaging in developmental and recreational activities
  • Leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel
  • Overseeing household budgeting and reporting

Requirements

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth
  • Legally married couples for at least two years, with both spouses aged 27 or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain student van certification
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfort leading students in devotions and attending chapel (proselytizing prohibited)
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and role modeling
  • Limited pet restrictions (fish and one approved dog breed)
  • Commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus, and no alcohol while on duty
  • Must pass background checks and adhere to campus policies
