About the Role
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support to approximately 8–13 students. They foster a structured, family-like environment to promote students' academic, emotional, and social development.
Initially, houseparents support various student homes on a schedule of nine days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to living and working with the same group of students in their own home.
Responsibilities
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship
- Managing household routines and student schedules
- Administering medications and ensuring wellness
- Driving students to activities and engaging in developmental and recreational activities
- Leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel
- Overseeing household budgeting and reporting
Requirements
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Legally married couples for at least two years, with both spouses aged 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain student van certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in devotions and attending chapel (proselytizing prohibited)
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and role modeling
- Limited pet restrictions (fish and one approved dog breed)
- Commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus, and no alcohol while on duty
- Must pass background checks and adhere to campus policies
