About the role
The Youth Development Specialist is a direct care position responsible for the supervision and guidance of clients in a behavioral health residential facility. You will be working with a multidisciplinary team of associates implementing individual treatment plans and unit programming in a compassionate and respectful manner.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide clients in a behavioral health residential facility
- Implement individual treatment plans and unit programming
- Build trusting and supportive therapeutic relationships with clients
- Be aware of ongoing developments and concerns of the children in your care
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- Desire to work with adolescents (ages 12-17)
- College credits or degrees in Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or Education preferred
- Prior work experience in a similar field is encouraged
Skills
- Commitment to the safety of adolescents
- Ability to build trusting and supportive therapeutic relationships
- Awareness of ongoing developments and concerns of the children in your care

Pay
Compensation starting at $18.50 hourly based on education and prior work experience.
Schedule
Available shifts: 2nd Shift 3pm-11pm Sunday-Saturday. Weekend and Holiday availability is required.
