About the role

The Youth Development Specialist is a direct care position responsible for the supervision and guidance of clients in a behavioral health residential facility. You will be working with a multidisciplinary team of associates implementing individual treatment plans and unit programming in a compassionate and respectful manner.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide clients in a behavioral health residential facility
  • Implement individual treatment plans and unit programming
  • Build trusting and supportive therapeutic relationships with clients
  • Be aware of ongoing developments and concerns of the children in your care

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

  • Desire to work with adolescents (ages 12-17)
  • College credits or degrees in Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or Education preferred
  • Prior work experience in a similar field is encouraged

Skills

  • Commitment to the safety of adolescents
  • Ability to build trusting and supportive therapeutic relationships
  • Awareness of ongoing developments and concerns of the children in your care

Pay

Schedule

Available shifts: 2nd Shift 3pm-11pm Sunday-Saturday. Weekend and Holiday availability is required.
