Youth Development Specialist

Win is seeking a dedicated and energetic Youth Development Specialist to support children, youth, and families residing in our Stone House Supportive Housing program. In this role, you will plan, develop, and coordinate educational and recreational programming that fosters child development, family engagement, and community connection.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and coordinate educational, recreational, and enrichment activities for children and families residing at Stone House
• Create and maintain activity schedules and ensure program information is communicated and distributed to families
• Develop and facilitate after-school programming that promotes academic achievement, social development, and positive youth engagement
• Utilize Evidence-Based Practices (EBP), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), family-centered approaches, and appropriate boundary setting to support client success
• Collaborate with the Department of Education, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and other community resources to connect families with free and low-cost educational and recreational opportunities
• Partner with other Win departments to organize special events, holiday celebrations, and culturally responsive programming that reflects the diverse backgrounds of participating families
• Develop service plans with clients, establish goals, and monitor progress toward achieving identified outcomes
• Participate in case conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, and staff meetings as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, Social Work, Education, Psychology, or a related field
• At least two years of experience working with children, youth, and families
• Experience supporting at-risk populations using client-centered, strength-based approaches
• Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and family engagement practices
• Strong organizational, planning, and program coordination skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Pay

$53,913 Annually ($25.92/Hour)
