About the role

The role is not about delivering traditional lectures or using physical textbooks. Instead, it focuses on motivating students to reach their full potential through life-skills sessions and individual check-ins.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate one-hour life-skills sessions for K-8 students covering topics such as public speaking, concentration, and feedback exchange.
  • Drive students toward their weekly application targets through daily individual and small-group motivational sessions.
  • Analyze weekly cohort performance metrics in Coachbot and adjust coaching strategies based on data insights.
  • Provide continued coaching to students who do not initially pass Test2Pass mastery evaluations until mastery is achieved.
  • Adapt coaching approaches across different age groups, from kindergarten to eighth grade.

Requirements

  • Available to work on-site at an Alpha campus in Beverly Hills, CA; Piedmont, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Miami Beach, FL; Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Chicago, IL; Raleigh, NC; Portland, OR (with relocation assistance).
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience with K-8 students (classroom instruction, coaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or youth program management).
  • A concrete example of motivating a K-8 student toward a challenging goal.
  • Comfort with AI-managed instructional delivery while focusing on motivation and life-skills development.

Qualifications

  • Background in youth sports coaching, debate, camp leadership, theater, or after-school programs.
  • Demonstrated personal record of high achievement (academic, athletic, or professional).
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to engage a room of 12-year-olds for an hour.
  • Experience converting disengaged or resistant students into enthusiastic contributors.

Skills

  • Ability to adapt and modify existing frameworks for life-skills sessions.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data from Coachbot analytics.
  • Strong interpersonal and motivational skills to engage students of various ages.
