About the Role
Join the Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County as a Youth Development Professional (YDP) for the 2026-2027 school year. In this part-time role, you’ll serve as a mentor, leader, and positive role model, helping local youth realize their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and fun afterschool environment.
Responsibilities
- Build positive relationships with youth through active mentorship, sports, recess, and recreational games.
- Model positive communication, empathy, and conflict resolution to support youth social-emotional development.
- Facilitate engaging lessons, assist with activity tracking, and maintain organized, welcoming program spaces.
- Participate in regular paid staff meetings and specialized professional development trainings.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with youth (ages 5-12 or 13-18) in an educational, recreational, or development setting is preferred.
- Reliable team player with strong communication skills and a growth mindset.
- Ability to remain actively engaged with youth indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions (and lift 25-50 lbs as needed).

Schedule
- Part-time, hourly (Estimated 15-20 hours/week).
- Commitment: August 6, 2026 - May 21, 2027 (School Year).
- Typical Hours: Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday (approx. 2:30 PM - 6:00 PM).
Pay
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.
