What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour interactive workshops focused on life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) for K-8 students, covering subjects such as public speaking and concentration, using Alpha's established curriculum framework
- Conducting daily motivational sessions designed to ensure 100% of students meet their weekly app-based learning targets through age-appropriate motivators including school currency systems and leaderboards
- Developing Guides through direct observation, specific feedback, and practical training to ensure they execute workshops with equivalent enthusiasm and exactness
- Analyzing Coachbot data and individual student records to pinpoint those requiring additional support, then providing direct intervention
- Personally mentoring your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques you require from all Guides
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum materials. Students progress through adaptive applications; your responsibility is elevating the people who support them.
- Delivering traditional lectures to a classroom. You're predominantly an engaging facilitator, minimally a content expert; if standing at a whiteboard appeals to you, look elsewhere.
- Compromising standards due to external pressure from parents or school leadership. When a student achieves 99%, the response is "not yet"—and you'll be empowered to maintain that boundary.
- Spending your day in an office managing administrative tasks. The majority of your time involves direct interaction with students and Guides.
- Waiting extended periods for performance evaluations. Outcomes are visible in real time through Coachbot, and adjustments occur immediately.
