The Role

In-person locations: Beverly Hills, CA; Piedmont, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available)

$200,000 annually, paid weekly | Health, dental, and vision coverage from day one

The most meaningful support you can offer a student who achieves 99% is to withhold calling it 100%. Not out of indifference — but because you know they're capable of reaching that mark, and accepting less is the true disservice.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitating one-hour live workshops focused on life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) with K-8 students, covering areas such as public speaking and focus, using Alpha's established playbook
  • Conducting daily motivation sessions designed to guide 100% of students toward achieving their weekly app-based goals through age-appropriate incentive structures like school currency and leaderboards
  • Developing Guides via observation, specific feedback, and direct coaching so they execute workshops with equivalent energy and accuracy
  • Analyzing Coachbot data and student profiles to pinpoint students requiring intervention, then providing personal support
  • Directly mentoring your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques you expect all Guides to employ

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum. Students progress via adaptive applications; your responsibility is elevating the people supporting them.
  • Delivering traditional lectures to a classroom. You're primarily an engager (80%) and secondarily a content expert (20%); if standing at a whiteboard appeals to you, this isn't the right fit.
  • Lowering standards due to pressure from parents or school leadership. If a student achieves 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you'll receive full organizational support to maintain that position.
  • Spending time in an office processing administrative documents. The majority of your day involves direct interaction with students and Guides.
  • Waiting extended periods for performance updates. Results appear in real-time through Coachbot, and course corrections occur immediately.

Basic Requirements

  • Currently residing in or willing to relocate to Beverly Hills, CA; Piedmont, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance provided)
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related discipline (Master's preferred; traditional teaching certifications are not required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or a comparable field
  • Demonstrated experience creating and executing educational programs, curricula, or training initiatives
  • Proven history of managing a team of at least 5 individuals, including responsibility for hiring and performance-based termination decisions
  • Experience providing coaching, mentorship, or constructive feedback to enhance engagement and performance outcomes
  • Experience engaging with youth aged 5–14 in educational or developmental contexts
  • Skilled in leveraging data and performance metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education, Psychology, or Business
  • Experience as an athletic coach, camp director, or youth program manager where you directly motivated children to achieve quantifiable goals
  • Track record coaching adults in positions where performance was measured and evaluated
  • Confidence performing before large groups of children. The type of presence that commands attention in a room full of 8-year-olds.
