Youth Counselor – Mental Health and Residential Care

About the role

Responsible for providing mental health support and residential care services to youth in a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical assessments
  • Maintain records and documentation of all interactions and interventions
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Experience working with adolescents in a therapeutic setting
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications

Qualifications

  • Pass a background check
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of adolescent development and mental health disorders
