Youth Career and Work Experience Specialist – Workforce Services Unlimited, Inc.

About the role

Workforce Services Unlimited, Inc. is currently seeking a Youth Career and Workforce Experience Specialist to assist as an active partner in the OhioMeansJobs Highland County Hillsboro Center. Be a part of our Ohio Comprehensive Case Management Employment Program (CCMEP) through the OhioMeansJobs Highland County office under agreement with Highland County Community Action Organization, Inc.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing career counseling and guidance to youth and young adults
• Support participants in developing and implementing individualized employment plans
• Facilitate workshops and activities designed to enhance employability skills
• Collaborate with community partners to identify and connect participants with job opportunities
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities and participant progress
• Participate in regular meetings with team members and stakeholders to discuss program outcomes and improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field
• At least one year of relevant work experience in workforce development or youth services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Understanding of local labor market trends and needs

Pay

$18.00 – $19.50 per hour

Schedule

Full-Time Day Shift In-person 40 hours a week
