Youth Care Worker (PRN)
About the role
Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth at Norris Academy in Andersonville, TN. Nestled just outside the Great Smoky Mountains, around 30 miles North of Knoxville, Norris Academy is a residential treatment facility that offers comprehensive, holistic services to youth with autism spectrum disorders and/or other neurodevelopmental diagnoses. This is a 100% onsite position.
What you will do
A day in the life of a Youth Care Worker at Norris Academy is rarely the same—hard work, exciting, impactful, and very rewarding. As a youth care worker, you are helping to care for and support autistic youth.
- Assist residents with personal care tasks
- Support independent living skills and treatment goals
- Ensure residents' safety at all times
- Enforce facility rules, policies, and routines
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a background screening, drug test, and physical
- At least 1 year experience working with autistic youth
- A passion to work with and help children
Pay
$17 per hour. Earn a $1,000 bonus after successful completion of Essential Skills Training (within 90 days).
Schedule
Part Time As Needed. 12-hour shifts: 7am–7:30pm or 7pm–7:30am.
