Youth Adventure Staff

Position Overview

Adventure Staff guide students on safe and quality weekend trips. Trips may be local day outings or overnight camping opportunities. Each opportunity is typically academically driven that expands a students cultural awareness and/or personal enrichment. Students also have the opportunity to learn primitive camping and wilderness skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a nurturing environment and close supervision of students
• Utilize natural and logical consequences to hold students accountable
• Employ relationship and counseling skills effectively
• Complete all necessary student documentation
• Attend, participate and complete all mandatory training

Requirements

• Love working with children
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with youth
• Love the outdoors
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible to work doubles during the day and overnight on the weekends
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Pass a background check

Pay

$15.50 - $21.50 per hour
