About the role

At Belli Fiori, we specialize in elevated, personalized floral designs for modern and timeless couples planning weddings in St. Louis. Our goal is to make the floral design process enjoyable and stress-free, guiding you from the initial inquiry through your wedding day.

When to book

Ideally, reach out to us six months to one year before your wedding date. We accommodate bookings both earlier and later, but having your venue secured first is crucial, as it influences style, color palette, and guest count. For peak wedding seasons in St. Louis—May, June, September, October, and November—we recommend booking as early as possible. If you’d like to discuss floral designs before selecting a venue or are planning more than 14 months ahead, we’re happy to chat, though the conversation will be more general.

Since we’ve worked in every major venue in St. Louis, we can also refer you to properties that suit your guest count and event needs.

Consultation process

Once your venue is booked, the design process begins! After submitting an inquiry through our website or The Knot, our Client Liaison, Katie, will confirm our availability and schedule a design consultation. Consultations are available in person or via video.

Before your consultation, you’ll complete a pre-consultation form to share details like wedding party size, color palette, and timing. You’ll also be asked to provide inspiration photos or a Pinterest board to help us understand your vision. At the consultation, you’ll meet with Lisa Molitor (Owner), Sandra Fulton (Creative Director), or Erin Wilson (Lead Designer). We recommend bringing only a few key decision-makers to keep the discussion focused.

During the consultation, we’ll explore your wedding style, from bouquet preferences to the ambiance you envision for your reception. If meeting in person at our studio, you’ll also see our extensive rental selection of vases, candles, columns, and more. Our designers can assist with table linens and other design elements, which is especially helpful if you’re planning without a wedding planner.

Floral proposal

After your consultation, our team will create a custom proposal based on your discussion. The proposal includes a breakdown of each item—from bouquets to cake flowers—with descriptions, photos, flower images, and pricing. This makes it easy to adjust items before finalizing your contract. The proposal also accounts for labor costs, covering design, setup, breakdown, and behind-the-scenes preparation like logistics, rental coordination, and transportation.

Most clients make a few adjustments before signing the contract. Once finalized, you’ll officially join the Belli Fiori family!

Post-contract process

After signing, we’ll stay in touch about payments and design elements. We’ll also coordinate with you and your planner (if applicable) on key details like timelines, photos, and first looks. About a month before your wedding, we’ll confirm final details, including guest count, personal flowers, and any last-minute additions. You’ll receive a “Final Details” email outlining your wedding day timeline, and we’ll liaise with your venue and vendors to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Wedding day

While you’re getting ready with your bridal party, our team will be hard at work behind the scenes. We’ll deliver bouquets, pin boutonnieres, and ensure your ceremony and reception look stunning. If your wedding includes a room flip, we’ll assist with transforming the space. If breakdown is included in your contract, we’ll return at the end of the night to strike the room and return rental items to our studio.

Pricing

As a custom wedding florist, we don’t offer set pricing or packages. Each proposal is tailored to your vision, with costs influenced by design style, flower types, greenery, guest count, and wedding party size. The floral industry can be affected by factors like weather or global events, which may occasionally cause delays or substitutions. We mitigate this by ordering flowers well in advance, partnering with multiple wholesalers, and ensuring any substitutions align with your vision.
