Young Fives Kindergarten Paraprofessional
About the role
The Young Fives Kindergarten Paraprofessional supports student needs in the classroom under the guidance of the classroom teacher and other professional staff.
Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming and positive classroom culture and climate
- Collaborate and work closely with the Young 5's teacher
- Provide effective group and individualized instructional support
- Implement daily activities consistent with the developmental needs of the students
- Use appropriate motivational and classroom/behavior management techniques
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA, or meet the "highly qualified" standard
- Complete equivalent of at least two years college or minimum associates
- Pass the "Work Keys" assessment
- A passionate commitment to working with students
- Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold preferred
- Demonstrated positive interpersonal relationships
- Evidence of ability to establish positive working relationships with all stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Possess a high level of professionalism
- Exemplary organizational skills
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications may be waived by the Administration

Pay
The salary and fringe benefits will be consistent with the current agreement between the Board of Education and the Livonia Paraprofessional Association.
Schedule
The position remains open minimally through June 19, 2026 for consideration of employment for the 26-27 school year.
