About the role
The YMCA of Greater St Petersburg's Dance Academy is seeking qualified and experienced dance instructors for young dancers aged 2-6. Classes offered include ballet, tap, and hip hop at beginner levels.
Responsibilities
- Teach technique classes and choreograph for the end of year performance
- Work independently and build positive relationships with students
- Flexible schedule to accommodate individual needs
- Participate in long-term growth opportunities within the YMCA
Requirements
- Previous experience teaching various dance genres to all age levels
- Videos of past work preferred
- Part-time schedule with availability during the week
- Pass a 10-panel urinalysis drug screen and complete a Level 2 background check through DCF (Florida)
Qualifications
Must be passionate about teaching dance in a supportive environment.
