Young Dancer Instructor (Ages 2-6), YMCA

About the role

The YMCA of Greater St Petersburg's Dance Academy is seeking qualified and experienced dance instructors for young dancers aged 2-6. Classes offered include ballet, tap, and hip hop at beginner levels.

Responsibilities

• Teach technique classes and choreograph for the end of year performance
• Work independently and build positive relationships with students
• Flexible schedule to accommodate individual needs
• Participate in long-term growth opportunities within the YMCA

Requirements

• Previous experience teaching various dance genres to all age levels
• Videos of past work preferred
• Part-time schedule with availability during the week
• Pass a 10-panel urinalysis drug screen and complete a Level 2 background check through DCF (Florida)

Qualifications

Must be passionate about teaching dance in a supportive environment.

Skills

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Pay & Perks
