Yoga Instructor

About the Role

We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and passionate Group Fitness Instructor to teach Yoga at a high-profile company's fitness center in San Jose, CA. You will develop effective, engaging, and motivating class formats accompanied by fun and appropriate playlists. Your role will focus on client results by building class attendance and offering alternative movements to accommodate all levels of fitness. There is also an opportunity to provide class coverage at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead engaging, motivating Yoga classes.
• Build class attendance and adapt movements to accommodate all fitness levels.
• Provide class coverage at multiple locations as needed.
• Network, engage, and interact professionally with clients, guests, and participants.
• Communicate effectively using appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
• Engage participants as a public speaker.

Requirements

• Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification or specialty class certificate (e.g., Zumba® license).
• Current CPR/AED certification (no online certifications accepted).
• Prior experience in Group Fitness, Personal Training, corporate health promotion, wellness, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of the fitness industry and customer service skills.
• Professional communication skills for interacting with clients and guests.
• Competency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Pay

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $75, based on factors including education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and business needs.
