Yard Worker
Position Overview
As part of the talented Freedom Boat Club team, you will be working with our large variety fleet of boats! This position is full-time with a large amount of time spent outdoors.
Essential Functions
- Assist with the safe and efficient moving of boats at the dealership/storage yard
- Spring boat prep: Unwrapping shrink wrap, cleaning, waxing, detailing, bottom painting
- Fall boat prep: Shrink wrapping, bottom scraping, bottom painting & power washing
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of vessels and the boat yard
- Support technicians and other team members with various tasks
- Operate yard equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Required Qualifications
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Able to regularly complete the physical demands of the role including bending, kneeling, balancing and carrying equipment up to 25 pounds
- Able to adhere to all safety policies
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a marine or similar environment is a plus, but not required
- Team player with good communication skills
Working Conditions
- Work outdoors and in various weather conditions for an extended period of time
- Work in a service center setting around machinery
Pay and Benefits
The anticipated pay for this position is $18 - $22 hourly. In addition to the hourly rate, this position is eligible to participate in Brunswick’s high-quality benefit offering of a 401k (up to 4% match).
