Yard / Warehouse Rep

About the role

The Yard/Warehouse Rep I at Arizona Building Supply is responsible for receiving, stocking, shipping, ordering, and counting inventory items. This entry-level position involves operating a forklift safely to stock lumber and building materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate safely.
• Participate in a positive work environment.
• Maintain an organized work environment by assisting warehouse associates and direct supervisor.
• Empty trash receptacles and keep all bays and staging areas clean and organized.
• Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.
• Count and record receipt of materials.
• Stock all material received in appropriate bins or storage locations.
• Aid inventory control in counting and organizing warehouse materials.
• Operate forklift with foot and hand controls.
• Load completed orders onto delivery equipment using the forklift.
• Operate facility equipment as necessary (e.g., bander, power tools, various hand tools).
• Monitor inventory as required by location management.
• Retain an awareness of the work environment to produce error-free and damage-free results.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to do basic math, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms.
• Ability/willingness to learn to read a tape measure.
• Effective and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Constructive problem-solving skills and the ability to deal with conflict.
• Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g., Smartphone, Inventory Control Systems, and other necessary business applications).

Pay

The pay for this position is $15.00 per hour.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
