Yard & Warehouse Laborer

K&S Tire Recycling is hiring dependable, hardworking individuals to join our yard and warehouse team in Chicago Heights, IL. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position for someone comfortable working in an industrial environment with steady work at an established, growing company.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload tires from trucks, trailers, and containers
• Move tires by hand and with hand trucks/dollies
• Sort, stack, organize, and stage tires
• Grade and inspect used tires based on condition and quality
• Move and sort other scrap and recyclable materials
• Maintain organized tire and material storage areas
• Assist with general warehouse and yard operations
• Perform general cleanup and housekeeping throughout the facility
• Work safely around forklifts, loaders, trucks, conveyors, and other moving industrial machinery
• Follow company safety procedures and supervisor instructions
• Perform other general labor duties as needed

Requirements

Physical Requirements

This is an active, physical job. Applicants must be able to:

• Regularly lift, carry, push, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs
• Handle and move tires repeatedly throughout the workday
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift for extended periods
• Work both indoors and outdoors
• Work in varying temperatures and weather conditions
• Work safely in an active industrial environment around moving vehicles and machinery

Minimum 1 year of warehouse, tire, recycling, automotive, construction, landscaping, manufacturing, or general labor experience is required.
