Yard Warehouse Associate

About the role

This position is responsible for performing basic warehouse and yard duties such as receiving, shipping, loading, and unloading equipment, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and handling paperwork. The incumbent is expected to model HOLT's Value Based Leadership practices and adhere to safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Pull equipment, components, parts, and hardware from the warehouse and deliver to designated teams.
  • Maintain the warehouse and yard in a neat, clean, and orderly condition.
  • Perform general yard and shop cleanup according to company standards.
  • Identify parts incoming and kit or prepare for potential returns.
  • Receive orders through the CODA system.
  • Update inventory control software and distribute paperwork and mail.
  • Assist with engineering, engine rebuild, field service, and transport teams as needed.
  • Communicate job status to supervisor and work overtime as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One to two years of work-related experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass forklift driving assessment.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
  • Equipment selection skills - determining necessary tools and equipment for a job.
  • General knowledge of equipment and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
  • Good computer skills, including proficiency with current software and hardware.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair, including an overhead crane.
  • Ability to operate a conventional forklift.
  • Ability to quickly and repeatedly operate forklift controls.
  • Ability to be self-starting and self-motivated.
