About the role

This position supports shipping and receiving activities in a fast-paced warehouse environment, including operating a forklift and yard truck, coordinating dock activities, and managing workload prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to perform shipping and receiving activities.
• Safely operate a yard truck to move trailers from the yard to shipping doors.
• Serve as Dock Coordinator as needed, managing minute-to-minute shipping and receiving activities.
• Utilize PC, SAP, communication, and time management skills to prioritize and organize workload.
• Drive operational results and perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older (DOT requirement).
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) with no DUI/DWI, refusal to test, leaving the scene of an accident, driving a commercial vehicle without a CDL, at-fault fatal accidents, or reckless driving incidents.
• Prior forklift or heavy equipment experience preferred; manufacturing experience desired.
• Strong computer skills and exposure to warehouse inventory scanners preferred.
• Ability to work self-directed with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a team-based environment.
• Focus on safe work practices and high-quality execution with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to move/handle 50 lbs and frequently climb up and down a yard truck/forklift.
• Able to sit for long periods and drive backward as needed.
• Strong English language skills for effective communication with customers and team members.

Pay

$28.73 per hour at time of hire, with $0.50 increases at 90 and 180 days upon successful review.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, with shifts available: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
• Ability to work holidays and weekends as needed by business demands.
