About The Team About the team - Yard Operations We conduct hundreds of live auctions each year around the world. It takes a hardworking team of energetic people in a wide variety of full-time and part-time roles to conduct a successful multi-million dollar auction – from equipment inspectors, yard managers and operators to administrative staff and customer service representatives. Job Description The Part Time Yard Staff safely receives, processes, lines up, sale day support and check-out consigned equipment for the auction. Strict adherence to the Ritchie Bros. standard of customer service is always expected of the Yard Staff Responsibilities Receives/releases (checks-in/checks-out) consigned equipment for auctionUses an auction listing to line up equipment for display prior to auctionDrives/operates heavy and light equipmentPerforms facility inspections (per checklists) and provides housekeeping or maintenance services as necessaryPerforms basic maintenance on RBA owned equipmentManages keys for equipmentOperates forklift to load/unload stationary row equipmentBoosts equipmentBasic assembly of equipment i.e. dozer blades, etcChecks fluid and fuel levels on equipmentLot number equipmentSets out signage, flagging, and trash receptacles for auction dayDrives sound truckHolds ‘This item for sale sign’ (stick person)Places operators in rolling stockParks sold equipment on the rampPerform other duties as assignedValid driver's license meeting company’s motor vehicle policy required
