Position Summary
The Yard Specialist (Equipment Management Program) serves as a key leader in assisting the Equipment Manager with the third-party rental equipment management program and trucking coordination across the region. This role ensures operational efficiency by supervising and driving processes, providing guidance to teams, and proactively resolving challenges.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regional third-party rental equipment and trucking needs, ensuring seamless execution of operations.
- Oversee the coordination of equipment and trucking requests, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, accurately, and within project timelines.
- Work closely with project teams, vendors, and Yard Partners to anticipate needs and proactively resolve potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and financial controls related to equipment and trucking operations.
- Provide regular status updates to leadership, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Aid in special projects and cover for multiple positions when staffing levels are low or production/operating demands are accelerated.

Equipment Management Program (EMP)
- Supervise and fulfill third-party rental equipment requests, ensuring timely responses and delivery.
- Evaluate multiple vendor options and present cost-effective solutions to project teams.
- Ensure proper tracking and record-keeping of all rental equipment, collaborating with the Equipment Manager and Yard Team for transparency.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance with third-party vendors and project teams to ensure equipment remains operational and compliant.
- Assist in resolving billing disputes and discrepancies, working collaboratively with vendors and internal billing teams.
Qualifications
- Preferred 2+ years of similar experience, preferably in personnel assets or construction industry or industrial sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, delegate, and ensure accountability across teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritize tasks, and meet critical deadlines with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with project teams, vendors, and leadership.
