Yard Specialist

Pay

Up to $27.25/hour (based on experience), paid weekly.

$1,200 annual tool allowance
$200 annual boot allowance
$1,200 CDL A/B stipend

Schedule

Monday - Friday day shift
3 weeks of PTO starting on day one

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine yard inspections to identify damaged or inoperable tractors and trailers
• Create repair orders and document repair estimates for equipment requiring maintenance
• Coordinate with external vendors by submitting repair requests for work outside the scope of the shop
• Perform minor repairs, including replacing tires, lights, mud flaps, and other basic maintenance items
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient yard by ensuring equipment is properly positioned and parked
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3-5 years of experience in the transportation, fleet maintenance, or related industry OR equivalent military experience
• Valid driver's license, CDL A preferred
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the role

Qualifications

• Certifications (EPA 609, Cummins, Navistar, Daimler) strongly preferred
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools (Cummins Insite, DTNA, Bendix, etc.)
• Class 8 truck repair experience (electronics, PMs, brakes, suspension)

Work Environment

On-site work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. Role requires frequent physical activity including walking, climbing, lifting, and operating heavy equipment.
