About The Role
The Yard Rigger is responsible for safely directing crane operations during the lifting, moving, and placement of precast panels. This role uses rigging equipment, communicates continuously with the crane operator, and ensures panels are properly handled, stored, and shipped in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for signaling the crane operator during panel lifting and placement.
- Uses rigging devices for the transportation, storage, and shipping of precast panels.
- Hooks and unhooks lifting cables, ring clutches, and spreader bars.
- Guides the cranes and is to always remain in constant communication via two-way radio with the crane operator as they guide the crane around blind spots.
- Places dunnage used to store panels in racks or trailers for shipping to customers.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate is safety-focused, highly alert, and communicates clearly while working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Works well on a team, has effective communication skills, and maintains good housekeeping.
- Maintains good housekeeping and always follows the safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to climb ladders, man-lifts and scaffolding and work from heights.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Skills
- Highly alert and able to communicate clearly in a fast-paced production environment.
- Works well on a team and has effective communication skills.
- Maintains good housekeeping and follows safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to climb ladders, man-lifts, and scaffolding and work from heights.

Pay
Competitive compensation is offered based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Shift work is required, with extended shifts of up to 12 hours possible.
