About the role

We're looking for a Service Yard Attendant / Yard Porter to help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment in our service yard. This is a great opportunity for someone who is self-motivated, organized, enjoys working outdoors year-round, and wants to build a career in the heavy-duty truck and equipment industry.

Responsibilities

• Keep the service yard clean, organized, and safe by removing debris, maintaining work areas, and supporting a clean, professional environment.
• Clean up oil spills promptly and properly maintain containment areas in accordance with company safety and environmental standards.
• Perform routine yard housekeeping, including disposing of trash, recycling, and other materials as needed.
• Absorb and support technicians with day-to-day shop and yard activities by transporting materials, tools, and equipment.
• Support preventative maintenance tasks, including greasing trucks and other basic service-related duties as assigned.
• Inspect the yard throughout the day to identify and address potential safety hazards.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts or other material handling equipment (training provided, if applicable).
• Maintain an organized outdoor work environment while working safely in all weather conditions throughout the year.
• Work closely with the service team to help keep daily operations running efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the service department and overall branch operations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions year-round.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds, with heavier items moved using team assistance or mechanical equipment.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to understand work instructions, follow safety procedures, and communicate with team members.
• Previous experience in a service yard, shop, warehouse, or other hands-on work environment is preferred, but not required.
