Role Statement
Aid customers with yard materials. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, and stocking materials in the lumber yard and warehouse. Maintain a safe work environment.
Location
The role is performed onsite at the store. Remote work is not available.
Outcomes for Success
- Greet customers, assess their needs, and direct them to materials purchased.
- Provide assistance loading materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Communicate with the sales and yard teams to ensure prompt and coordinated customer service.
- Check materials loaded against the paid invoice for accuracy and quantity.
- Pull loads for delivery accurately and bundle materials safely for delivery.
- Develop knowledge of materials, locations, and uses, and proactively learn about products sold.
- Operate forklifts and light trucks upon receiving proper training, supervisor approval, and certification.
- Report unsafe conditions, product, and property damage, and incidents or accidents immediately.
- Use a radial arm and panel saw to cut materials for customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job.
- One to three months of experience preferred.
- A high school diploma or GED preferred but not necessary.
- A valid driver's license.
- Pass our MVR requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds seldom, 50-80 pounds occasionally, and up to 25 pounds frequently.
- Standing and/or walking all day.
- Sometimes stooping, kneeling, and crawling.
- Seldom climbing, ascending, descending, and balancing.
- Seldom sitting for forklift operation.
- See and detect, identify, and observe.
Wages
Starting wages will be determined based on years of experience and education.
