Yard Operations Lead

Summary of Primary Functions

Aids the Bed Leader in setting up and pouring concrete members, ensuring proper placement of steel, cables, form liner, wood, insulation, and other materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows safety and quality rules to maintain a safe working environment and produce high-quality products.
• Collaborates with the Bed Leader to review shop cards and prepare for daily setups.
• Communicates with support employees to ensure availability of necessary materials.
• Directs the crew on the correct placement of wood, steel, and other materials.
• Continuously checks the layout of the bed with daily shop cards to ensure accurate construction.
• Assists in directing and assisting with the pouring process and concrete member finishing.
• Strips beds, cleans, oils, places bulkheads, plates, rebar, and completes final checks throughout the shift.
• Supports the Bed Leader in completing final checks of the work center daily.
• Performs additional duties as described by the Production Supervisor to meet production deadlines.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
