Responsibilities

• Communicate with Dispatcher/Router for truck/trailer and door assignments
• Keep assigned equipment coupled
• Move trailers between buildings as directed by Router or Warehouse Supervisor
• Load, unload, or merge loads between environments
• Stage shuttle trailers nightly for shuttle drivers
• Set up trailers for backhaul with tractor and empty pallets
• Place backhauls in correct door to be unloaded by warehouse
• Make sure all equipment is paired and ready for next day's deliveries
• Work with mechanics nightly
• Must attend all required company meetings
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience preferred
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language (able to hold a conversation, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and enter information on reports and records)
• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse (required by the Department of Transportation)
• Physical ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift
