About the role
The Yard Driver, Non-CDL is responsible for moving tractor trailers to/from the loading docks and parking loaded or empty trailers in designated areas in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities
- Performs inspections and moves trailers safely following all DOT regulations and company safe-driving policies.
- Fuels, moves, and parks tractors and trailers to the docks.
- Transports tractor trailers to offsite maintenance and/or inspection facilities; requires local city driving.
- Secures trucks, trailers, and equipment at all times.
- Completes all required documentation.
- Performs general warehouse loading and unloading of trailers when not moving trailers in the yard.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- 6+ months driving experience (internal candidates may be promoted with less than 6 months experience with good performance record in accordance with driver training program requirements).
- Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime for the position.
- Valid non-commercial driver’s license.
- Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
- Pass road test.
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from between 10-35 pounds and up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location.

Pay
$19/hr base, + $2 additional premium once trained.
Schedule
Sunday–Thursday, 7pm start time (typically 8-10 hour shift).
