Yard Hand/Forklift Operator

Duties/Responsibilities

• Moves boats using tractors and marina forklifts.
• Assists in launching and racking boats.
• Transports trailered boats using pick-up trucks to other locations.
• Inspects heavy equipment for damages.
• Remains up to date on OSHA and company guidelines and ensures they are being followed at the marina.
• Keeps up to date on all heavy marina equipment certifications.
• Reports all equipment damages, accidents, and problems to the Marina Manager.
• Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience using heavy equipment.
• Valid Driver’s license, required.
• Clean driving record, required.
• Experience using SpeedyDock, preferred.
• Marina Forklift experience, preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Thrives in a team environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions.

Pay

$18-$24 per hour, based on experience. Full-Time, Year-Round.
