YARD DRIVER CLASS A

Candidates must have at least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience in the last 5 years. This is a 0% touch freight position.

Responsibilities

• Drive a gas- or diesel-powered tractor trailer combination to move trailers and containers from door to door within the yard (not over the road).
• Move trailers from door to door using a company software program.
• Open and close trailer doors when making moves.
• Update moves made throughout the shift using a company software program.
• Work with other drivers to complete moves in the most efficient manner possible.
• Conduct daily inspections to ensure truck safety.

Requirements

• Valid Class A driver’s license.
• DOT medical certification required.
• Clean driving record (no speeding 15+ mph over the limit).
• No DUI or criminal history.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer (TT) experience within the last 5 years.
• Must pass a yard test.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Pay

$28.50 per hour (anticipated starting salary; may be adjusted based on market conditions, location, and other factors).

Schedule

Wednesday – Saturday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM.
