About the role

This position is responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Move around the work area at a fast pace, including bending, squatting, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds
• Clean lot and pick up trash throughout shift and during down time
• Stand, walk, and climb up and down from yard shuttle vehicles up to 100% of the time
• Perform other job duties as needed
• Follow all Tyson Policies and Safety Guidelines
• Read, write, complete on-the-job paperwork, and communicate effectively across all management levels

Requirements

• Valid state driver’s license and must pass MVR qualification
• 6 months of experience within the last 12 months
• No DUI/DWI conviction within the past 12 months
• Full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, digits, and legs
• Able to stand for extended periods with a sense of balance
• May work with corrective lenses if vision problems exist
• Must pass post-offer health assessment and drug screening
• Must furnish and wear steel or composite toe boots (ANSI 75+ PSI rating, slip-resistant sole covering ankles; composite toe preferred)
• Proficiency in reading and writing
• Willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

Environment

• Cold, damp environment with temperatures ranging from -5 to 34 degrees
• Fast-paced, requiring repetitive motion
• Exposure to outdoor conditions and inclement weather up to 100% of the time, including hot and cold weather
• Standing or walking up to 100% of the time
