Yard Driver

We Build with Passion — Clean Harbors Kimball, NE Incineration units are seeking a safety-oriented and reliable individual to join our team in an entry-level, full-time Yard Driver position.

About the role

This role involves performing industrial labor and other physically demanding work outdoors, under potentially adverse conditions, as well as within the facility/plant work environment. The position offers $26.50 hourly with overtime, career growth, and advancement opportunities.

Pay

$26.50 per hour, with overtime opportunities.

Schedule

4 × 12-hour rotating shifts per week (6:00 AM–6:00 PM days / 6:00 PM–6:00 AM nights).

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Operate industrial equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, payloaders, backhoes, front/back-end loaders, and excavators.
• Perform general labor throughout the facility to prepare materials for the incineration process.
• Ensure the safety of yourself and those around you.
• Perform manual tasks such as cleaning up spills while taking all necessary safety precautions to prevent injury.
• Follow all standard operating procedures.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous experience with industrial or manual labor.
• Experience operating Yellow-Iron HEO equipment: payloader, backhoe, front/back-end loader, excavator, etc.
• Ability to work in adverse environments (cold/heat).
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• DOT Training.
• Proficiency in Windows-based applications.
• Ability to climb on and off forklifts and vertical ladders.
• Capability to perform multiple tasks and lift up to 50 lbs. from the ground to waist level.
• Capable of reaching out, over, and down while exerting force.
• 20/20 eyesight (corrected or uncorrected) — depth perception is critical.
• Ability to perform 10 pushups, deep knee squats, and sit-ups (fitness assessment).
• Good hand/eye coordination.
• Punctuality and consistent attendance.
• Must pass a respirator fit test upon hire (clean-shaven face required; mustache okay).
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Accountability and reliability.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Must pass a background check, drug screen (including cannabis/marijuana), and physical examination.
• Updated resume including most recent employer (required for consideration).
• Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
