Responsibilities
- Receives/releases (checks-in/checks-out) consigned equipment for auction
- Uses an auction listing to line up equipment for display prior to auction
- Drives/operates heavy and light equipment
- Performs facility inspections (per checklists) and provides housekeeping or maintenance services as necessary
- Performs basic maintenance on RBA owned equipment
- Manages keys for equipment
- Operates forklift to load/unload stationary row equipment
- Boosts equipment
- Basic assembly of equipment i.e. dozer blades, etc.
- Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment
- Lots number equipment
- Sets out signage, flagging, and trash receptacles for auction day
- Drives sound truck
- Holds 'This item for sale' sign (stick person)
- Places operators in rolling stock
- Parks sold equipment on the ramp
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Good customer service to both internal and external customers
Qualifications
- A high school diploma (or equivalent)
- Ability to apply appropriate use of security, maintenance, and safety procedures to protect Company and customer assets
- Ability to apply appropriate use of personal protective equipment (i.e., safety gloves, safety glasses)
- Ability to avoid accidents by recognizing potentially unsafe situations and responding appropriately when accidents occur
- Ability to follow appropriate industry-specific regulations related to the handling of hazardous materials
- Ability to constantly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull over 100 lbs.
- Ability to constantly reach outward, handle and finger objects, stand, walk, and sit
- Ability to frequently bend, squat, kneel, twist, turn, climb, and crawl
Physical Demands
- Ability to apply appropriate use of security, maintenance, and safety procedures to protect Company and customer assets
