Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) designs, assembles, sells, rents, and services trucks, cranes, and other heavy equipment for clients in utilities, telecom, construction, forestry, oil, and rail industries across Canada and the United States.
About the role
The Yard Attendant’s primary objective is to assist the shop in ensuring CTOS equipment is rental-ready, assist with loading and unloading equipment, maintain the appearance of the branch, support mechanics or other personnel with labor-based tasks, and complete daily assignments that support branch operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment; obey safety rules; and wear required safety PPE
- Detail inside and outside of trucks (wash bay)
- Operate a variety of light and heavy-duty trucks on premises
- Assist technicians with repair work where additional hands are required (may include occasional travel with field technicians for field repairs)
- Check in/check out of rental, sale, and used equipment
- Perform various labor tasks related to maintenance of the building, yard, shop, warehouses, or equipment
- Complete routine tasks such as sweeping, emptying trash, and similar duties
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Parts and service or related experience required
- Proficiency in common computer software (MS Office Suite) and inventory software
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in both the shop and yard
- Knowledge of commercial trucks or related equipment (a plus)

Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with overtime as needed.
