Yard Associate
About the role
We are seeking a Yard Associate to join Woodlawns Landscape Company. This is a year-round position offering opportunities to work on large and complex landscape projects, share best practices, and develop organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of organizing seasonal color material, receiving, counting, sorting, and preparing deliveries.
- Stage seasonal color material each afternoon for crews.
- Maintain organized seasonal color inventory and storage areas.
- Water and care for live inventory.
- Prepare and stage faux materials for crews.
- Track and communicate returned seasonal color and faux material.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse.
- Organize returned materials and communicate inventory updates.
- Identify and report safety concerns or organization issues.
- Receive vendor deliveries, count and verify materials, and report shortages, damaged materials, incorrect deliveries, or inventory concerns.
- Communicate inventory information clearly to management.
- Make deliveries to crews or job sites when needed.
- Pick up materials and supplies as directed.
- Support snow operations during the winter.
- Afford additional yard, warehouse, or operational tasks when primary responsibilities are complete.
Requirements
- Experience in landscaping, yard operations, warehouse operations, seasonal color or plant material management, inventory management, deliveries, driving a truck and trailer, or skid steer operation is helpful.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- DOT certification and DOT health card.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and up to 75 lbs with assistance.
- Willingness to learn and become highly proficient in organizing and preparing seasonal color materials.
- Dependable, proactive, and willing to help where needed.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00 per hour. Pay transparency and equity are a priority at Mariani Enterprises, LLC.
Schedule
This is a year-round position with a typical start time between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM and an end time around 3:00 PM. Overtime may be needed, especially during peak seasons and snow events.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and up to 75 lbs with assistance. Employees should never lift more than 50 lbs without help. This is company policy.
