About the role

Porter / Yard Worker – The Yard Associate is responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment on the location’s property, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, servicing equipment as necessary, and inspecting equipment before and after rental to document any loss or damage.

Responsibilities

• Station and retrieve equipment on the location’s property.
• Maintain a written maintenance schedule.
• Service equipment as needed to meet specifications.
• Inspect equipment prior to and after rental to document lost or damaged items.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required day‑to‑day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred.
• Some experience or training in mechanical equipment repair preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Physical ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more; work indoors and outdoors as required.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with applicable laws.

Skills

• Effective written and oral communication with customers.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
• General mechanical aptitude and safety focus.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location.

• Porter, Hostler, Yard Hand, Yard Jockey, Yard Spotter.
• Entry‑Level Mechanic, Mechanic Trainee.
• Construction Laborer, Washbay Attendant, Equipment Washer.
• Forklift Driver, Warehouse Worker.

Pay

Base Pay Range: $18.99 – $26.11 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on position, location, education, training, and experience.

Paid Time Off
