Yard Associate

About the role

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Porter / Yard Worker to join our team. The Yard Associate is responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment on the location's property, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, servicing equipment as necessary, and inspecting equipment prior to and after rental to document any lost and/or damaged items.

Responsibilities

• Station and retrieve equipment on the property
• Maintain a written maintenance schedule for equipment
• Service equipment to ensure it meets specifications
• Inspect equipment before and after rental to document condition
• Communicate effectively with customers (written and oral)
• Perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred
• Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
• General mechanical aptitude and safety focus
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs

Skills

• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
• Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and work indoors/outdoors as required

Pay

Base pay range: $17.75 - $23.72 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on factors including location, education, training, and experience.
