Yard Associate

About the role

Support the safe and efficient movement, storage, and distribution of lumber, trusses, wall panels, and building materials throughout the yard and production facility.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound trucks and lumber backhauls from contracted delivery services.
• Receive incoming lumber using barcode scanning software and accurately tag and store inventory.
• Affix tags and store inventory.
• Assist with unloading rail cars and staging materials.
• Load building packages, trusses, wall panels, and other materials for customer delivery or production.
• Stock lumber and building materials in designated storage locations.
• Transport and restock materials throughout the facility and yard as needed.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through routine housekeeping.
