Yard Associate

Heritage Family of Companies seeks a Yard Associate to support daily yard and warehouse operations, including material receiving, stocking, and organization, while maintaining safety standards and delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Move, stock, and organize products in the yard and warehouse to keep inventory accurate and easy to find.
• Load and unload materials from customer and company vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment while following all safety rules.
• Keep the yard and warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and using proper lifting techniques.
• Check and verify orders, complete shipping and receiving paperwork, and work with team members to meet delivery deadlines.
• Assist with other warehouse or yard tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 75 pounds continuously throughout the workday.
• Ability to move heavy products in busy warehouses and/or outdoor yards, using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Work performed in an outdoor setting/warehouse environment in conditions like noise, hot or cold temperatures.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English to perform essential job functions.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish may be required based on location-specific business needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent of both education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience or certification (training and certification can be obtained after hire through company training).
• Experience operating skid steer and/or front-end loader.
• Prior experience in hands-on, outdoor/indoor yard/warehouse, operational work or similar environment.

Pay

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $19.00 to $22.88 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on factors including location, education, training, and experience.
