Yard Associate

About the role

At ASCO Equipment, our Yard Associates perform a variety of manual tasks in the yard in support of the entire branch operation. The primary objective is to provide labor assistance to mechanics, sales staff, and other branch personnel in order to meet the needs of customers. They also greet customers, assist with inquiries, and occasionally help with deliveries when needed by branch personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Prioritize safety in all tasks.
• Check customers in and out on the rental yard.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading.
• Inspect inbound and outbound machines.
• Ensure machines are in the correct location and properly tagged (Ready green cards or Red tags for down machines).
• Communicate with all departments as a team to improve customer service.
• Maintain the yard.
• Work in all Texas weather conditions.
• Assist with small deliveries.
• Assist with wash bay duties for service and sales departments.
• Be self‑motivated.
