Yard Associate - Aliquippa

About the role

This position performs an array of functions in a fast-paced warehouse and yard environment, including preparing orders, loading/unloading trailers, and maintaining stock.

• 70% of time spent operating a forklift for loading/unloading trailers
• 30% of time spent manually sorting and staging material in the yard
• Safely use a forklift
• Maintain yard stock in a clean and organized manner
• Works inside the warehouse and outside in the yard

Responsibilities

• Review order documents to prepare for accurate product pulling for customers
• Accurately load trucks for outgoing shipments
• Receive and put away inbound materials
• Complete work orders and receiving documents accurately
• Pull and prepare orders, packaging for shipment
• Rotate yard stock and safely move materials using a forklift
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Work with the team to ensure branch success and provide excellent customer service

Requirements

• 1+ year experience in a warehouse/yard position
• Able to lift/move heavy materials (up to 60 lbs) on occasion
• Forklift experience (sit-down) highly desired
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions required
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
• Experience with building materials a plus
