About the role

As a Retail Seasonal Sales Associate at Yankee Candle, you will execute key responsibilities to deliver an exceptional guest experience and drive sales growth in a fragrance-filled retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to creating a welcoming store environment focused on delivering an exceptional guest experience.
• Understand guest needs through product knowledge and make emotional connections to maximize sales potential.
• Implement company selling strategies and build lasting customer relationships to enhance loyalty.
• Drive guest loyalty through the Rewards Loyalty program and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Maintain store appearance by following company visual standards, including plan-o-grams, visual maintenance, signage, and store cleanliness.
• Support the Store Manager in building a high-performing team that embodies Newell Brand Values: Passion for Winning, Integrity, Leadership, Ownership, and Teamwork.
• Foster a positive work environment through teamwork and effective communication.
• Support inventory management activities and control expenses.
• Incorporate safety and loss prevention measures into daily activities and follow company policies and Code of Ethics.
• Strive to achieve or exceed all KPI goals through strategic planning, effective execution, and continuous performance improvement.

Requirements

• High School completion or equivalent GED.
• Proven experience in a retail environment (1+ years preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a fragrance-filled environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Pay

The base pay range for this position is from $16.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on prior experience related to the skills required.
